Tartu and La Dolce Vita

And that's how I felt love in Tartu!
I'm talking about my visit to restaurant La Dolce Vita in Tartu's downtown. This restaraunt is so so  simple like italian restaurants usually are with so so good service and THE food..don't have words to describe it.
Although the menu is rather long they have kept it simple. They have all kinds of pastas, pizzas, soups, salads and desserts. I had a caesar salad wt chicken and it was very tasty and big than we had pasta wt mushrooms which was very rich and finally had real italian pie filled wt chocolate cream and mascarpone cream mmmmmm it was certainly my favorite!:)

C'est La Vie!

If you want to get good drinks(alcoholic or non), great atmosphere, good service, normal price for old town than C'est La Vie is definitely the place to stop by. It's modern french style cafe-restaurant. Since was friday night we decided to focus more on drinks :) not on food...but I'm planning to visit this place again in the near future so this story will be continued...

Cafe Amore!

Found a new cozy place from where to get gooooooooooooood cakes :)
It's Cafe Amore on the Harju street in Tallinns old town. I had walked by it many times but I thought it would be one of these fancy-expensive places in old town. Yes I thought wrong.
It's very warm and nice place to go and enjoy delicious cakes with a cup of coffee or tea. But not only there's also salads, soups and main course too.
The first thing what you'll see is the cake desk. It's very tempting and inviting. And for me...cake selection is also good...I wanted to try everything but I tried classical cheesecake, tiramisu and cheesecake wt lime. My favorite was cheesecake wt lime cause it was nicely sour what made it fresh and not too sweet. Classical cheesecake was also very good but it didn't suprised me cause I have baked it so many times already and this taste was familiar to me. And what about tiramisu...it was finally right tiramisu although I would of but more almond liqueur in it.
Cafes furnishing reminds me a little bit cafe Josephine maybe that's why I like this place :) Atmosphere is unreserved and there are few tables by the window wt the view to the old church and Harju street. But if you want to sit undisturbed there are also a little isolated corner.Oh and waitress lady was also very friendly and helpful.

Summer,Pärnu and Cafe Supelsaksad!

Something inside of me misses summertime already although I know you have to live in a moment and enjoy it but I just can't help it and goin to write about the best cafe in Pärnu it's called SUPELSAKSAD. I went there last summer for the first time and fell in love.
You can't say very often that everything is great but this time it really was: (don't know maybe it was just one of these days you know) the location, service, interior, drinks and ofcourse food. 10 points I would say.
Okay now a little bit about the place: firstly it's located very close to the beach, like 10 minutes walk from the beach and it's in old wooden house what at first sight doesn't look very attractive place to go IN but like they say "First impression is deceptive". When you step in you don't want to step back out unless you want to eat outside what is also pretty but not as much as the inside. The inside is very colorful, cozy and it makes you feel like you stepped in to someones living room. There are many rooms where you can settle in. All of them are a little bit different. You can see paintings and photos from the old Pärnu city and on the tables are fresh flowers.
The menu is very simple but the other side it's original. I had tomatoe-mozarella salad with oven baked salmon and for drink I had watermelon mojito. Salad was moderately big and mojito...well I had another one too that says everything. And ofcourse they also have cakes and rolls. I tried classical chocolate cake what made me want another one too but I managed to stay on the one piece:)

Go there it's worth to experience!!!

The most important meal of the day!

BREAKFAST sure it is....
I love to eat oatmeal for breakfast and usually I eat it wt home made jams but yesterday I tried something totally different and now I'm so addicted of it. It's oatmeal wt whipped cream and blueberries. If you dare to try it do it on the right way:
* use whole Grain oatmeal (it takes only few minutes longer to make than fast oatmeals)
* boil oatmeal in the water not in the milk cause whipped cream itself is already very rich and the taste is better too
* if it's ready add a little bit salt and moderately cinnamon-mix and finally add blueberries and whipped cream as much as you like :)  Very easy and quick to make and it's healthy and tasty too enjoy!

Chocolate cookies

Chocolate, chocolate,chocolate.. although I have to admit that lately I haven't eat as many chocolate as I used to..is it good or bad? Don't know:)
But today I felt I want something chocolaty and I decided to make chocolate cookies.I found the recipe from the old cooking book and added something..
So here is the recipe:
180g flour
100g sugar
2 tblsp cocoa
1/2 teasp baking powder
1 teasp vanilla sugar
100g margarine
1 egg
100g minced dark chocolate
Sift the flour trhough the sieve than mix wt sugar, baking powder, cocoa, vanilla and minced dark chocolate than add margarine pieces and an egg mix all together. Roll the dough to a 3-4 cm roll and than but the dough to a fridge for 2 hours. After that cut 5mm thick rolls and place them at the griddle. Heat the oven to a 200C and bake the cookies for 6-8 minutes.
They taste the best when they'r warm and wt cold milk :)!
